Seniors Get Fresh at The Market!

Wednesday June 30 the Market is happy to host “Seniors Get Fresh” day at our afternoon market. Folks from OlyCap will be on site to assist seniors with learning how to use the Senior Nutrition Program checks and to give out information on how to qualify for this great program put on by the State of Washington. This program helps seniors learn about better nutrition through education and the issuance of checks which can be used to buy produce from Farmers Markets in the state. Mayor of Port Angeles, Dan Di Giulio will also be on hand to declare this “Senior Farmers Market Nutrition” week. If you or someone you know may be interested in being enrolled in the program, come on down on Wednesday and talk to the nice folks from OlyCap.

    Welcome Market Boosters

This year we began our Market Booster Program where members of the community, both individuals and businesses, can help support the operation of the Market by making a donation. With sponsorship from First Federal, Market Boosters, our fund raising dinner and a bake sale, we have already raised $5500 toward our goal of $10,000 which is needed to break even this year. For more information on this program click here.

    Wednesday Market open
    now through Sept. 29th

Our Wednesday Market has begun its summer season and will continue every Wednesday, rain or shine, through the end of September. We have many new first time vendors participating on Wednesdays who are not present at the Saturday Market so you’ll want to stop by after work, pick up some groceries or hot food and check out our artisans. There’s lots to see at “The Market”!
